Question for Edgy amd64 users

I have an R3240. After upgrading Dapper amd64 with OpenOffice 2.0.2 to
Edgy amd64 with OpenOffice 2.0.4, drag and drop editing of text is
broken. There are some other things in OOo that are broken too. None of
these problems occurred with OOo 2.0.2 on Dapper amd64 or any previous
version of Ubuntu or OOo. Everything else also works flawlessly -- the
only problem is in OOo 2.0.4.

To troubleshoot this I tried the live/install CD for Edgy amd64. I had
the same problems in OOo. Conclusion: It's not my installation.

I also tried the 32-bit live/install CD for Edgy and the problems
disappeared.

My guess is that it's a hardware conflict or bad driver in Edgy amd64.
I have a list of half a dozen other Edgy amd64 users who have reported
this problem on the Ubuntu forums, but it's clear that we are a rare
bunch. However, I do not know what hardware they have. I am hoping that
someone on this list will pipe up and say "hey, me too!" That would
make it a lot easier to sleuth out which hardware component/driver is
the source of the problem.

Anyone else?
